Kelly Griffiths

Solicitor

Kelly joined Allington Hughes as an Assistant Solicitor after qualifying as a solicitor in 2014.

Kelly studied Law at Liverpool John Moores University and then went on to attend the College of Law in Chester to study the Legal Practice Course. Kelly is Chairlady of the Cheshire and North Wales Junior Lawyers Division for the second year running, which represents the interests of those working within the legal profession up to five years post qualification. cnwjld.org

Kelly has recently undertaken her Children Law Accreditation, which involved attending at a panel interview at The Law Society in Chancery Lane, London. Kelly was successful at interview and as of 1st May 2017 is an accredited Children Law practitioner. Accredited members will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of children law and the representation of children. All accredited Children Law practitioners also agree to follow the Law Society Code of Practice for Children Law (PDF 50kb). The code outlines the standards of practice and conduct expected of accredited members throughout their accreditation. The Children Law Accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing children in children law proceedings and is a means of identification for professionals, such as guardians, to identify suitably qualified practitioners when representation of a child is required.

Kelly is also a member of Resolution and a general committee member of the local Cheshire Resolution group. Resolution is an organisation of family lawyers nationally, who are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Resolution members follow a code of practice that promotes a non confrontational approach to family issues, that consider the needs to the whole family and in particular the best interests of children. More information and useful links can be found at the following website: resolution.org.uk

Kelly works in the Family Law department where she advises in all areas of Family Law, dealing with mainly Children Act matters both in relation to private and public law proceedings.
