Megan joined the Wills, Trusts and Probate department at Allington Hughes in September 2017. She previously studied at Durham University before going on to attend the University of Law in Chester to study the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, achieving Distinctions in both as well as the following awards:-

• The Chester & North Wales Society prize for the LPC student with the highest overall mark at the University of Law, Chester 2013-14
• The Walker Smith Way prize for the LPC student obtaining the highest mark in the Property Law examination 2013-14
• The Joliffe & Co prize for the LPC student obtaining the highest mark in the Employment Law examination 2013-14
• The Cullimore Dutton prize for the LPC student obtaining the highest mark in the Private Client examination 2013-14
• The University of Law National Award for the best overall Postgraduate Diploma in Law 2012-13
• The Horace Cooke prize for the GDL student for the highest overall mark at the Univesity of Law, Chester 2012-13
• The Dyne Solicitors Limited prize for the highest mark in the Land Law examination 2012-13
• The Graham Beecher prize for the GDL student obtaining the highest mark for the Criminal Law examination 2012-13

Prior to this, Megan worked as a volunteer for the Citizens Advice Bureau and have tutored GCSE and AS-Level English.

Megan joined Walker Smith Way as a Trainee Solicitor in 2014 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2016 in the Wills, Trusts, Tax and Probate department.

Megan's work will include the following:

-The preparation of Wills, ranging from relatively straightforward Wills to more complex areas including advice about the inclusion of trusts for asset protection.
-The preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney for property and financial affairs and health and welfare.
-The administration of estates.
